聽
Restorative yoga is the slowest, softest kind of yoga there is. You'll spend each evening in a handful of long, fully supported shapes, propped with bolsters, blankets and weighted sandbags until there's nothing left for your muscles to hold. There's no flow to keep up with and nothing to stretch toward. If you can lie down, you can do this, and you don't need any yoga experience at all.
There are only a handful of things in my life I can put my finger on and say, that changed me. Restorative yoga is one of them, and I'm not the only one who noticed.
When my son was in high school, he came home from a psychology class where he'd been learning about parenting styles. He told me I used to be the kind of mom who just told everyone how things were going to be, and that now I was a lot easier to be around. We talked things through, and I let him decide more on his own. I knew exactly where that change came from.
Learning to relax wasn't easy for me, and I don't think it's easy for most of us. It's a skill, and restorative yoga is where your nervous system gets to practice it. Week after week, your body gets more familiar with softening, until softness starts to feel more like who you are than the quick reactions that used to run your day, the ones that leave you thinking where did that come from?
That's what these six evenings are for, giving your body enough practice at letting go that it starts to stay that way a little longer, at home, at work, and with the people you love.
When you change your nervous system, you change your life experience.
What You Might Notice
Every body arrives differently, so I won't promise you a result. Here's what people often notice, during the evening and after it:
- Your breath slows down on its own, without you having to manage it.
- Your jaw, shoulders and belly finally get the message that they can let go.
- Your mind gets quieter, the kind of quiet where you can hear yourself again.
- You sleep a little easier that night.
- You walk out to your car moving slower than you walked in.
What an Evening Feels Like
聽
6:40 to 6:45聽 Come in, slip off your shoes, and settle in with a cup of warm tea. There's no rush to be anywhere.
7:00聽 We begin. The room is warm, the lights are low, the candles are lit, and there's a little sage in the air. You'll rest in a few long, supported shapes, and I'll come around with an extra blanket, a weighted sandbag across your hands, or a small adjustment so you can sink a little deeper. Every part of the evening is set up to give your senses something soft to land on.
Near the end I play the handpan while you rest, and the sound carries you through the last few quiet minutes.
About 8:15聽 A slow return, a few quiet minutes, and you head home softer than you arrived.
Why only four
I keep the room to four people so I can tend to each of you, tucking in a blanket, shifting a bolster, noticing when someone needs a little more warmth. It also keeps the room quiet enough that your body can trust it.
It's the same reason I teach this at home. Here I can keep the room warm the whole evening, light candles and sage, use heavier props like weighted sandbags, and close with the handpan, none of which I can do in a gym studio.

How reserving works
聽
There are four spots. Text me to check what鈥檚 open. If there鈥檚 a spot, I鈥檒l send you how to pay, and your spot is held once payment comes through.
If the circle is full, you can join the waitlist for free. When a spot opens, I鈥檒l text the next person on the list, and you鈥檒l have 48 hours to claim it before it moves to the next name.
Current students get first chance to continue for another six evenings, so spots open as people finish.
If you miss an evening, it isn鈥檛 refunded. If I鈥檓 ever sick and have to cancel, I鈥檒l schedule a makeup evening so you still get all six.
